Smoky Quartz & Feldspar (Robertson Coll.)

Item Description

Sculptural older combination material from the famous Crystal Peak area of Colorado. Two terminated, translucent smoky quartz crystals with lustrous frosted faces are dramatically set in parallel on the artistic blocky contrasting pink feldspar crystal matrix plate. The large smoky is 5.1 cm and you can't tell the tip is cleaved in the frontal display view. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7588 and acquired at the Tucson Show in February, 1975. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic and excellent Colorado smoky quartz and feldspar.
