Item Description

A cool display specimen of Smoky Quartz from an undisclosed locality in Plumas County, California. The piece hosts a predominant, fine quality, WATER-CLEAR, very sharp, lustrous, gorgeous cognac smoky colored Quartz crystal that reminds me of Alpine Quartz crystals with a smaller Quartz crystals aesthetically sitting on matrix. This specimen comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. The piece comes with one of his famous 3x5 index cards.
