Some of the world's finest Aegirine crystals are found at Mount Malosa. This particular piece is actually a very impressive Quartz specimen for the locale featuring a lage, fine, sharp, lustrous, smoky colored doubly-terminated, flattened / compressed crystal of Quartz with a few accenting flattened / compressed smoky crystals and small dark greenish-black crystals of Aegirine. The tips of the Quartz crystals are much darker than the centers, and are nearly black in some areas. Good quality all around, and very attractive, not only for Malawi, but a great pickup for any worldwide Quartz collector. Valued at $950 in the inventory.
