Item Description
This huge and dramatic compound-scepter has to be seen to be believed! It is complete all around. The head is composed of dozens of gemmy, doubly-terminated Smoky Quartz crystals. The Smokies range up to 4.6 cm in size, have excellent luster and, remarkably, only a few have suffered any damage in what had to be a tortuous extraction process given the small pockets in which these form, deep in the difficult rock. The few that are damaged, get lost in the visual complexity anyhow. To give you an idea how large and impressive this is, the stalk itself is 7 cm across. A remarkable specimen, to hol din the hand. It is just one of those pieces that is Dramatic with a capital D, regardless of species. And from here, very few have been found of this magnitude, let alone recovered. A large specimen weighing 2 pounds (.9 kg). Valued at $2000-2500 minimally, this is a MAJOR quartz for the region, and just good by any standard
