Smoky Quartz (doubly-terminated crystal) with Aegirine

This is a wonderfully showy and aesthetic display specimen from Mount Malosa featuring richly color, very sharp, highly lustrous gemmy prismatic hexagonal crystals of Smoky Quartz in an almost reticulated formation, associated with dark prismatic crystals of Aegirine and minor cream colored Feldspar. The larges Smoky measures 7.1 cm long and is doubly-terminated. The piece is in very fine condition, with only a few contacts on the bottom where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. This is certainly one of the most three-dimensional and top-quality Smoky Quartz specimens that we've had to offer from this locality in the auctions for some time.
