Item Description

A really cool Smoky Quartz crystal from the famous pegmatite districts of Colorado that have produced the most famous Amazonite specimens in the world. This piece is an unusual, flattened / compressed, "floater" specimen that is crystallized all the way around. It somewhat resembles the so called "elestial" or "alligator" Quartz specimens that we've all seen from Brazil. It has a soft smoky/silvery color and certainly looks different from most of the Quartz specimens we're used to seeing from here. If you're a Quartz collector, or if you collect minerals from the central Colorado pegmatites, don't miss out on this one.
