Item Description
A classic and very aesthetic large plate of intergrown smoky quartz crystals from the famous Mont Blanc Massif of France. The very glassy, water-clear sharply terminated crystals, to about 7.0 cm, have fine smoky color. The lustrous, lightly frosted faces are dramatically accented with stepped-growth. This impressive specimen is very nearly pristine. The large crystal on the lower left has a broken and healed termination and a gently bruised back termination edge to a central crystal is barely noticeable. Very fine and gemmy large Chamonix smoky quartz self-collected by Paul Zerfass # 736. Fairly valued at $2000.
