Smoky Quartz specimens from the Crystal Peak area are a Colorado classic, along with world-famous amazonite specimens. The striking and sculptural compound crystals are sharply terminated, have very high luster and nifty stepped-growth faces. The rich dark smoky crystals are mostly opaque, except for the transparent to translucent large crystal termination. This really adds pizzazz to the piece. A very fine, 360-degree specimen, that is nearly pristine, with only a bit of termination bruising. Excellent large material from this locale from the Art Soregaroli Collection.
