Item Description
A striking and excellent large combination specimen with very uncommon discrete spessartines and smoky quartz crystals from Tongbei. Nearly all specimens you see from here have dense coverage of spessartines. Gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous, cinnamon-orange spessartine garnets are very aesthetically scattered in isolation along with water-clear, pretty light smoky quartz crystals to 3.1 cm on the sawed feldspar matrix. The spessartines reach 5 mm and have textbook trapezohedral crystal form. Numerous little green muscovite books scattered about are a nifty accent. Essentially pristine with only the faintest termination brusing to the large smoky. The spessartine crystal quality and isolation, combination with the smoky quartz and overall aesthetics easily rank this piece among the very best of this uncommon style, that we have offered at auction from Tongbei.
