Smoky Quartz and Schorl

A First-class combination piece of one large (4 x 3 cm) Schorl with two fine Smoky Quartz crystals (up to 5 cm). The Schorl has the superb luster and form that you would dream of, and the Smokies are gemmy with silky, striated faces. The tips are also zoned a darker smoky hue. One has a very small ding on the tip, but it is so small it is hard to tell if it is not natural in any case. For the region, or for anywhere, this is really a great combination piece. Even better and more 3-dimensional in person. This is not just us working up a boring and mediocre common thing...out of LITERALLY thousands of such specimens I have seen, I would have to say this is one of the very best of any size range, for overall appeal to my sense of aesthetics and quality. Charlie had a good eye too, and kept the best or most unique pieces of many such otherwise common finds, believing them to be even more valuable in the long run.
