Here we have a good representative Smoky Quartz and Amethyst specimen from this famous locality at Hallelujah Junction in Nevada. I obtained this specimen directly from the man who collected it. It has good form and decent gemmines for any locality, especially one in the U.S. The piece features a sharp, semi lustrous, well formed, defined smoky and purple color crystal with a distinct dual-tone color variation. It's nearly a floater, and the reverse side of the crystal is almost 100% recrystallized after the was detached from the matrix. It is very sharp on the display side, and a good representative specimen for the material.
