Smoky Quartz & Albite (Sanabria Coll.)

Item Description

Glassy, sharply terminated smoky quartz crystals are aesthetically intergrown on this scuptural and impressive large matrix specimen from the Sanabria Collection. The lustrous crystals have fine light smoky color and are transparent to translucent. The smokies are smartly attached to the feldspar matrix and the preferential coating of micro muscovites on the smoky prism faces is a fine accent. It's hard to tell, that there is a broken tip in the front of the piece. High quality smoky quartz specimens, such as this, are rare and mineral specimens of any species are uncommon from the pegmatites in this area.
