Dramatically sculptural large smoky quartz combination from the well-known 1990s to early 2000s finds at Mount Malosa. The lustrous glassy smokies have variable color and are transparent to translucent with satin luster faces.The dominant 10.8 cm doubly terminated hexagonal anchor crystal is slightly flattened. The three attached intergrown smokies are strongly flattened and are also doubly terminated. The broad projecting smoky with the striking chisel termination is 6.9 cm long. The classic, complementary black aegirine crystals are mostly on the back and are highlighted by the 3.5 cm prism artistically embedded on a smoky termination edge. The bone-white microcline crystals are a stark contrast and typical accessory. Ex Tim Sherburn Collection. A stunning, essentially pristine 360-degree large combination with only trivial bruising.
