A CLASSIC, impressive and aesthetic CABINET plate of glassy, transparent, smoky quartz crystals from Switzerland. The dominating, large upright crystal is 6.5 cm and the largest crystal is 9.5 cm! This dramatic, large piece displays very well and is certainly not diminished except on close exam by the trivial termination edgewear on the large upright crystal, most of which is hidden on the backside. The other contacting is confined to the periphery. This would be a $$$ specimen, if pristine. Fairly valued at $900-ish, though, as is. ex. Peter Bancroft collection, circa 1950s-1960s
