Two, striking, facet-like, water-clear smoky quartz Herkimer "diamonds" with fine light color are artistically set on a cluster of smaller crystals on this fine and very aesthetic specimen. The very glassy crystals have interesting internal and external skeletal features, which really add pizzazz. Complete all-around and in great shape. The dramatic, limpid, upright "diamond" has only trivial termination edge wear. The out-of-sight base of the other crystal, near the stalk, contacted and bruised, but has no impact to the display quality of this outstanding smoky quartz crystal cluster. Smoky quartz is relatively RARE from Herkimer County and this is a good one. Comes with a custom-made lucite base, valued at $145, for free. Valued at $1000-1250.
