"Smoky" Amethyst (rare locality specimen)

A rarity from Dal'negorsk. This is from a very small, surprising find over 10 years ago. The specimens are not world-class for the species, but the importance here is the locality; and, actually, they ARE rather pretty - with decent, transparency, glassy luster and an unusual color that can appear to be a smoky grey in some light, while showing a light lavender hue in other lighting. I've dubbed the piece "Smoky" Amethyst. If you collect worldwide Quartz specimens or minerals from Dal'negorsk, don't miss out on this attractive and hard to find specimen. Great quality all around, with only a few minor imperfections here and there. Valued at $800.
