Smoky/Amethyst Quartz (North Carolina)

Item Description

A large and fine, CABINET, North Carolina quartz out of the Feist Collection. The crystals have superb glassy luster and are very richly piled up and dominated by the largest crystal at the top. Also, there is this beautiful combination of smoky and amethystine hues, and enough clarity to the crystals that you can really appreciate this. Complete all-around. The base is actually terminated, but is very knubby. A bit of periphery wear is noted around the base, but certainly nothing to detraction. This is a very impressive and visual, large specimen with good color from this locale. ex Robert Whitmore coll
