Item Description
This is an unusual and colorful combination specimen featuring strangely yellowish-colored Cuprian Smithsonite set amongst a carpet of blue Rosasite from Tsumeb. Bright, sparkling, pale lime green crystals of Cuprian Smithsonite are scattered across the top half of the piece in association with teal green tracts of microcrystalline Rosasite. The Smithsonite crystals (modified rhombohedrons) average 2 to 4 mm across, and their luster is excellent. There is more microcrystalline Smithsonite on the bottom half of the specimen along with some minor amounts of Rosasite. The contrast between the two makes for a pleasing piece. Ex. Grosch and Amo collections as noted on the mineralman.com label and it comes with a custom engraved acrylic base. From the Chris Amo collection.
