Item Description
Pale blue translucent bladed smithsonite botryoids with matte luster richly and attractively line a sculptural small cabinet vug. Patches of white hemimorphite are a typical accessory to this showy piece from finds about 10 years ago at this large Namibian zinc mine. The bit of noted periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this rich and showy specimen. The piece displays well without aid, as the piece has been sawed. Ex Taylor Hunt Collection. You don't see much around anymore from these finds, circa early 2000s.
