Item Description
Smithsonites from Tsumeb are diverse and celebrated for their wide variety of styles and colors. One of the best-known examples of Smithsonite from Tsumeb are the classic examples of the green copper-bearing specimens. This piece features good quality, sharp, well-formed, gemmy, rhombic crystals of beautiful green color Smithsonite, completely covering the underlying host rock matrix. The piece is damage-free on the front/display side, and sits wonderfully on its own without the aid of a base or clay. Classic material from what many people agree is the world's greatest mineral locality. Ex Brian Kosnar specimen, valued $1,500.
