Item Description
Mineral specimens are uncommon from this extinct zinc mine. Two-toned translucent bubbly smithsonite botryoids cover the scuptural undulating matrix. A matte flax-yellow outer layer is underlain by juicy gray smithsonite, as seen along the edges. The unusual yellow color is due to cadmium. Rare and excellent material from the Chris Cowan New Mexico Collection.
