Item Description
A good quality display specimen of these attractive and rarely seen Smithsonite from the famous Skorpion Mine. This particular piece was mined circa 2009, and is certainly one of the best examples of this particular material that we've had to offer in the auctions recently. This small cabinet is filled with resinous, translucent, soft blue colored radiating aggregates of Smithsonite measuring up to about 8 mm across, on matrix. It's a very good quality specimen from this well-known zinc mine, with no major damage (outside of the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall), and you don't see them on the market anymore.
Valued $1,800.
