A killer yellow smithsonite from the famous extinct Sardinia Zn-Pb Masua Mine, closed in the 1990s. Yellow Sardinian smithsonite from here is considered be among the most desirable locales in the world for the yellow varietal. Beautiful rich yellow, translucent botryoids with waxy surfaces are richly and aesthetically mounded on the sculptural bone-white smithsonite small cabinet matrix. The luscious yellow hue from here is seldom matched by other worldwide localities and is considered to be "old-time" material. The noted contacting at the top of the piece, has negligible bruising and is certainly only a modest detraction to this classic and exceptional smithsonite from the Chet Lemanski Collection.
