Smithsonite stalactites with Aurichalcite

Fine example of rarely found style of Smithsonite stalactites from Tsumeb, quite unusual! On the clean, uncoated front side, the crystals present very well, where you can see how glassy and gemmy the blue-grey Smithsonites are. The best-defined stalactite, on the left in the photos, is 4 cm tall. The Smithsonites have good fluorescence, and the blue Aurichalcites scattered about add visual and mineralogical interest. The unusual form for this small-cabinet piece raise the level of aesthetics and desirability for this sought-after Tsumeb species. #17000 or so in the collection, she had this by the 1980s and it seems an old pocket, an old style - we have only ever seen a few bits and pieces of similar material, and nothing of this size and condition.
