Smithsonite (rough and cut set)

The area around Choix has produced some of the most beautifully colored Smithsonites in the world. In the rough specimen form, they are just as alluring as they are when they're polished. This set features a lovely "Oval Cabochon" cut gem with a strong blue color for the size. The consistency and hue are both good for the material, and very worthwhile for any collector of the material. The matching specimen features soft blue color, vitreous radiating groups on gossan matrix. A great example of the classic Choix Smithsonites in both rough and cut form.
