Item Description

"Rice-grained" smithsonite is an uncommon and highly desirable varietal from this renowned locale. Pretty, light powder-blue, rice-grains are festooned as discrete crystals or in clusters, along with a few botryoids in the sculptural, curved vug. Material of this distinctive quality dates to the 1960s to 80s and perhaps older. The light powder-blue color is uncommon in itself. Classic, aesthetic and very fine smithsonite from the Harold Urish Collection, a 40-year Tucson collector.
