Item Description
A cool piece of the rarely seen Smithsonite from the famous Skorpion Mine. The piece features several lustrous/vitreous, translucent, very pale blue-green colored aggregates of Smithsonite sitting on a layer of sparkling white crystals (which are either Hemimorphite or Tarbuttite) on host rock matrix. The largest Smithsonite group measures 1.1 cm at its widest dimension. It's a cool specimen from this well-known zinc mine, and you don't see them on the market anymore. This particular piece was mined circa 2010. Priced in our inventory at $950. If you collect Smithsonites or secondary ore minerals, this is a very worthwhile piece to add to your collection.
