Item Description
RARE and sculptural large smithsonite from this less well-known extinct old lead mine in North Yorkshire. Beige-colored, matte luster, bubbly botryoids totally cover the undulating honeycomb matrix crust. The large botryoid in the center is 1.2 cm across. This fascinating and rare piece displays very sculpturally from both directions. Self-collected by Charles Lamb and ex Tim Sherburn Collection. Specimens of this size, richness and quality are VERY RARE from here.
