Item Description
Smithsonite is a rare accessory from the famous Mammoth-St Anthony Mine at Tiger. This showy 360-degree translucent thumbnail botryoid has gray-green color. The juicy lustrous side is contacted with very little damage, while the other side has a matte lustre frosted face. The tiny surface indentations add character. It looks like a moon scape with craters. This famous Arizona mine closed in 1953. Ex Kay Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 3038 and acquired from Burt Jirgl in 1963.
