Item Description
A classic example of the distinctive Smithsonites from Rush Creek, Arkansas. This small cabinet specimen has a full coverage of eye-catching rich golden colored Smithsonite (said to be cadmium-bearing) which are replacing "curved" rhombs of Dolomite on siliceous limestone. This particular hue is sometimes referred to as "turkey fat" Smithsonite. No major damage and very attractive in person. Certainly not terribly common on the market anymore either considering the mine closed in the early 1960s.
