A superb, beautifully constructed and pristine pseudomorph from the well-known San Antonio Mine at famed Santa Eulalia. Dramatically flaired pseudos of large, isolated, translucent, olive-green smithsonite after calcite crystals to 2.7 cm are beautifully accented by tiny quartz and pyrite crystals covering the matrix. This mine is famous outstanding blue and yellow botryoidal smithsonite, but has also produced excellent pseudos, such as this exemplary piece. See the 2018 Santa Eulalia Mineralogical Record Mexico Special Issue VIII, Vol. 49, No. 1. Choice material from the Wouter van Tichelen Pseudomorph Collection.
