Item Description
Mineral specimens from this former Zn-Au-Cu-Bi-Au-Pb-Ag-pyrite mine are very uncommon and very rarely available. This sculptural and perhaps unique two-sided pseudomorph is composed of striking curved bundles and individual crystals of sparkly, rust-red, smithsonite after platy and sharp calcite rhombs. This type of smithsonite is called monheimite, a rare Fe-bearing varietal. The few broken pseudos on the periphery reveal, that these are hollow epimorphs. RARE and nifty smithsonite pseudomorphs from the Bob Trimingham Collection. A MUST for the species or Arizona collector.
