Item Description
Two-toned brown smithsonite has pseudomorphed sharp dogtooth calcite scalenohedrons on this sculptural, rich and showy mounded replacment from this famous Santa Eulalia mine. The pseudos reach 3.0 cm. The bruised and broken crystals reveal that these are smithsonite epimorphs or shells, with hollow interiors visible. The piece has several fine display views.
