Sharp dogtooth calcite scalenohedrons have been pseudomorphed by brown smithsonite on this sculptural, rich and showy replacment from this famous Santa Eulalia mine. The pseudos reach 2.7 cm. Several of the broken crystals on the edges reveal that these are smithsonite epimorphs or shells, with some remaining calcite visible. The piece has several fine display views. old classic!
