Item Description
Grayish-tan smithsonite has pseudomorphed an impressive and rich large plate of dogtooth calcite crystals on this showy and excellent classic from the famous San Antonio Mine at Santa Eulalia. Preferential second generation smaller tan smithsonite botryoids are a nice accent. The broken crystal on an edge is a hollow epimorph, revealing the dissolved away calcite form. The interior is very nearly pristine, with only one gently bruised tip noted. The periphery wear is certainly acceptable in the context of this rich, excellent and large pseudo. Older classic material from the 1999-2000 finds. Valued $750-950.
