Item Description
Smithsonite from Lavrion is not terribly common on the market, and pieces like this are certainly hard to find. I've seen several pieces of blue Smithsonite from this locality, but not a lot of polished material. This specimen consists of layered / banded blue and golden colored resinous Smithsonite polished on one side to show how it formed in botryoidal groups. Great color and a cool formation from this historic locality. The piece weighs nearly a half a kilo at 451 grams! Valued at $900.
