Item Description
This is a rar epocket of the famous Greek blue smithsonite, some of which dates back to ancient European collections as some of the best smithsonite in Europe. Vivid robin's egg blue smithsonite botryoids line the sculptural vug in gossan matrix on this fine classic from the ancient mines at Lavrion. Old-time specimens of this rich color and quality came out in the 1800s and early to mid-1900s and remain highly desirable today.
