Tsumeb is renowned for the smithsonite varieties it produced and this is a very nifty miniature example. Glassy, translucent, tan, smithsonite scalenohedrons totally cover this mounded, pineapple-shaped specimen of solid smithsonite. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial bruising and periphery wear on one spot near the base. Classic Tsumeb smithsonite from the Howard Belsky Collection dating the 1970s or 80s.
