Smithsonite on Dolomite

Item Description

A wonderful little specimen of the classic Smithsonite from Rush Creek, Arkansas. The piece has a good coverage of rich yellow-orange aggregates of eye-catching Smithsonite which are coating "curved" rhombs of Dolomite for a nice accent. For my taste, this particular style is one of the most desirable from this locality. Certainly not terribly common on the market anymore either considering the mine closed in the early 1960s.
