Item Description

Intergrown to strikingly stepped-growth, glassy, transparent to translucent, colorless to light gray, smithsonite rhombs fill the large sculptural vug in gossan matrix on this rich and showy old-timer from a famous locale. Highly represetative hefty ore material with some history from the Bob Trimingham Collection. According to his label, the piece was formerly in the Mitch Gunnell Collection (1903-1986) and was originally from Ward's in 1931. Better in person.
