Smithsonite & Mimetite on Quartz

Item Description

A 1.2 cm spray of rich orange, lustrous, translucent, mimetite prisms, to 1.2 cm, dramatically and colorfully highlights a sculptural vug lined with rounded aggregates of juicy, translucent, mint-green, cuprian smithsonite rhombs. The vug lies in a contrasting blocky massive quartz-rich matrix. Some of the mimetites are broken, but this remains an excellent and colorful small cabinet combination from famed Tsumeb. Green cuprian smithsonite with mimetite is RARE from Tsumeb.
