Item Description
Interpenetrating, glassy, translucent, light brown, smithsonite rhombs cover three sides of the mounded smithsonite and sulfide matrix on this excellent and very rich specimen from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. Significantly, the largest rhomb is at the very tip of the piece, at 1.5 cm on the diagonal. The fourth side and the base are contacted, but are certainly modest detractions. All of the rest of the myriad of smithsonites are pristine, amazing for such dense coverage. Classic Tsumeb smithsonite from the Larry Krause dealer stock. Valued $500-600
