Smithsonite and hemimorphite combinations are RARE from the famous and exctinct Mammoth Mine at Tiger. The sculptural miniature gossan matrix hosts gray, translucent, smithsonite botryoids with waxy luster with numerous contrasting snow-white hemimorphite botryoids, some with a nifty light brown coating. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 5369 and acquired from the Bourget Brothers in early 1968. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Choice, showy and RARE combination material from this classic Arizona locale with several fine display views. A MUST for the locality or species collector.
