Item Description
A rich and aesthetic large combination plate from finds about 10 years ago at this large Namibian zinc mine. Pale blue translucent bladed smithsonite botryoids attractively cover most of the plate. Most of the botryoids have a matte finish, but a few have beautiful satin lustre with excellent translucence. The rest of the plate is covered with glassy tiny gray hemimorphite blades. Essentialy pristine, with only negligible periphery wear or contacting. An excellent, rich and uncommon large combination from the find. Valued at $900 by the former dealer.
