Item Description
Two-toned pretty light sky-blue and white translucent smithsonite botryoids with satin lustre are very aesthetically clustered on one side of the sculptural curved small cabinet vug. The cluster of larger botryoids in the center highlighted by the 1.1 cm stacked botyroidal "stalk" at the top is remarkable. The right side is richly accented with glassy tiny gray hemimorphite blades on this excellent combination from this well-known zinc mine. Rich and uncommon material from finds 5-8 years ago. The bit of periphery wear at the base is certainly only a modest detraction to this very showy combination. Both the base and back have been sawed to enhance the fine display quality of the piece. An excellent combination. Valued by the former dealer at $700.
