A showy and colorful Smithsonite from Choix featuring a coverage of vitreous, botryoidal, beautiful purple colored groups on both sides of the piece. You can see that some of the spheres have a light lavender colored overgrowth, creating a nice contrast. Minimal peripheral roughness can be seen, but the piece is largely in great condition. Priced at $1,200 in the inventory. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, a medical doctor and prominent mineral collector from near Lisbon, Portugal (https://www.mindat.org/user-11954.html). He assembled his mineral collection over the course of 60 years, and built a fine worldwide display collection that we recently purchased.
