Bubbly, botryoidal, tranlucent, vivid pink and purplish-pink smithsonite envelopes the matrix knob on this bright and classic specimen from the El Refugio Mine at Choix, Mexico. Old - 1960s or 1970s vintage. Excellent and classic material from this essentially mined out locale, that was documented in a 2011 Mineralogical Record Special Issue. Ex Consie Prince Collection.
