Item Description
A very nice thumbnail from the Tsumeb Mine. This specimen hosts a few very sharp, incredibly well-formed, lustrous, gemmy, pale golden color scalenohedral crystals of Smithsonite measuring up to 2.0 cm long aesthetically sitting on matrix. The main Smithsonite crystal flaring out of the side of the piece is gemmy, undamaged and really eye-catching. There are a few small nicks that I can see on the secondary crystals, but the main Smithsonite makes up for it with its superior quality. It seems that the price of Tsumeb specimens is on the rise on a daily basis, and this is a wonderful opportunity to obtain lovely display specimen from what is arguably the single most prolific mineral producing locality in history. From the worldwide thumbnail / miniature collection of Irv Brown. Valued at $750.
