Item Description

A very unusual and rarely seen botryoidal Smithsonite from Conception del Oro in Mexico. The piece has somewhat of a "turkey fat" appearance, and ranges in color from dark brown to golden-orange to a lighter golden-yellow. The Smithsonite has a little bit of luster, and is translucent when backlit. The piece actually resembles Tiger's Eye in a way and is really unusual compared to Smithsonites I've seen from any world locality. If you're a Smithsonite collector, or a collector of Mexican minerals, do not pass up this strange and interesting large miniature / small cabinet display piece.
