Item Description
A beautiful golden-brown Smithsonite specimen from Tsumeb featuring several gemmy/translucent, sharp, lustrous, scalenohedral crystals on a stalagtite of Galena. The crystals themselves are not especially large, but they have good luster and a very eye-catching color. Smithsonite from Tsumeb is one of the most classic species from what is arguably the greatest locality in the history of minerals. There are some slight abraisons, but the overall aesthetics of the piece and the unique Galena association make it very different from most Tsumeb Smithsonites that I have seen.
